Code of Ethics

This code is designed to ensure the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and excellence in our coaching. All members and credentialed coaches within our organization commit to adhering to these ethical guidelines.

Section 1: Professional Conduct

Adherence to Code: Uphold the principles of this Code in all interactions, including training, mentoring, and supervisory activities.

Ethics Violations: Take appropriate action when aware of any ethics violations, including reporting to relevant authorities if necessary.

Non-Discrimination: Refrain from unlawful discrimination in all coaching activities.

Truthful Communication: Make accurate verbal and written statements about coaching services and qualifications.

Acknowledgment: Recognize and honor the contributions of others, claiming ownership only of one's own work.

Personal Issues: Address any personal issues that may impair coaching performance, seeking professional assistance if needed.

Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all client information unless legally required to disclose.

Record Management: Manage and dispose of records in a manner that ensures confidentiality and security.

Section 2: Conflicts of Interest

Conflict Awareness: Be conscious of and disclose any conflicts of interest, offering to remove oneself if a conflict arises.

Role Clarity: Clarify roles and boundaries for internal coaches and review potential conflicts with stakeholders.

Compensation Transparency: Disclose all anticipated compensation from third parties to clients and sponsors.

Equitable Relationships: Maintain equitable relationships with all clients regardless of compensation form.

Section 3: Professional Conduct with Clients

Truthfulness: Ethically communicate the potential value of coaching to clients and sponsors.

Clear Agreements: Establish clear agreements with clients and sponsors regarding the coaching process, confidentiality, financial arrangements, and other terms.

Boundary Setting: Set and maintain appropriate boundaries that respect cultural sensitivities.

Sexual or Romantic Relationships: Avoid any sexual or romantic relationships with current clients, sponsors, students, mentees, or supervisees.

Client Termination: Respect clients' right to terminate the coaching relationship and remain alert to shifts in value received.

Referrals: Encourage clients to seek other professionals when appropriate.

Section 4: Confidentiality/Privacy

Confidentiality Commitment: Maintain strict confidentiality with all client and sponsor information unless release is required by law.

Information Exchange: Have clear agreements on how information will be exchanged among coach, client, and sponsor.

Limits of Confidentiality: Clearly define conditions under which confidentiality may not be maintained and ensure all parties agree in writing.

Support Staff Adherence: Ensure all support staff adhere to this Code of Ethics regarding confidentiality and privacy.

Section 5: Continuing Development

Professional Development: Commit to continuous development of professional skills to ensure excellence in coaching.

Section 6: Respect and Professionalism

Respect for All Individuals: Show respect for all individuals, recognizing the inherent worth of every person.

Professional Behavior: Maintain a high standard of professional behavior, acting with integrity and honesty in all interactions.

Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment where feedback and diverse perspectives are valued.

Section 7: Responsibility to the Coaching Profession

Promoting the Profession: Actively promote the coaching profession by upholding and advancing its values and principles.

Advocacy: Advocate for the coaching profession in a manner that enhances its credibility and reputation.

Enrolling Mastery, acknowledges and agrees to honor the ethical and legal obligations to our clients, sponsors, colleagues, and the public. We pledge to comply with this Code of Ethics and to practice these standards diligently. By aligning with these standards, we commit to fostering an environment of trust, integrity, and professional excellence, ensuring the best outcomes for our clients and the broader community we serve.
